Our Story

LakeCity Raffle was founded with a simple yet powerful mission: to create meaningful employment opportunities for Nova Scotians while supporting our local community. Through our annual raffle program, we've been able to fund vital services and programs that make a real difference.

Our journey began at Lake City Employment Services, where we saw firsthand the barriers many individuals face in accessing quality employment. We knew we could do more than just provide jobs—we could build a sustainable program that empowers people, celebrates craftsmanship, and strengthens our community.

Recreational Programming

Our skill-building programs create a welcoming environment where everyone belongs. From woodworking workshops to life skills training, we offer diverse programming that fosters personal growth and community connection.

LakeCity Woodworkers

Our woodworking shop produces custom and ready-made high-quality furniture and commercial projects. Each piece is handcrafted with care by our skilled team, showcasing both traditional craftsmanship and modern design.
